Become a Klassifier interpreter partner

Overview

Conference organizers use Klassifier to make their events multilingual. Many combine AI translation with professional interpreters for their key languages, and ask us to provide those interpreters.

As a Klassifier interpreter partner, you join the network we assign those events to. You interpret from the Klassifier booth in your browser, on site or remotely, and attendees hear you live on their own phones.

Apply as an interpreter

How it works

  1. You apply with your language pairs, whether you work remotely or on site, and the countries where you take on-site work.
  2. We review your application and approve your partner account.
  3. When a customer requests an interpreter for your language pair and region, we contact you with the event details and agree the assignment with you.
  4. Once you are assigned, the event appears on your partner page. On the day, open the booth: you hear the speaker live and go on air on your language channel.
  5. Attendees choose your channel on their phone. If you go off air, for example during a break, they hear the AI voice until you are back.

What you need

  • Professional interpreting experience in at least one language pair
  • A computer with an up-to-date web browser
  • A good headset with a microphone, so the speaker's audio never leaks into your channel
  • A quiet room and a stable internet connection when you work remotely
  • A free Klassifier account, signed in with the e-mail address you applied with

Questions

Who can apply?

Professional interpreters with proven experience in their language pairs. Accreditations such as AIIC membership or sworn interpreter status help, but are not required.

Which languages can I offer?

Any language pair you interpret professionally. Add every pair you work in; each one counts in both directions.

Do I have to travel?

No. You choose whether you work remotely, on site or both. For on-site work you list the countries where you accept events, and we only offer you events there.

How am I paid?

Fees, travel costs for on-site work and invoicing are agreed with Klassifier for each event before you are assigned.

Do I need special equipment or software?

No. The Klassifier booth runs in your browser: you hear the speaker and go on air with one click. A good headset with a microphone is all you need.

Does the AI voice replace me during the event?

No. While you are on air, listeners of your language hear you instead of the AI voice. The AI voice only takes over when you go off air, for example during a break.
