Become a Klassifier voice actor

Serve your voice on our platform and earn from it: every time someone creates speech, a dubbed video or a live translation with your voice — or with a one-time fee.

Become a Klassifier voice actor

Overview

Klassifier users create text to speech, AI dubbing, audio description and live conference translation in dozens of languages. With the voice actor program, your voice becomes one of the voices they can choose.

You record a short sample of your voice; after our review it is published in the voice library under your name. You keep track of how often it is used and what you earned in your own dashboard.

How you earn

For every voice we publish, we agree on one of two deals with you:

Per use

You earn a fixed rate for every 1,000 characters other users turn into speech with your voice. The more your voice is used, the more you earn.

One-time fee

You receive a single agreed payment when your voice is published, regardless of how much it is used afterwards.

Your own use of your voice is free and does not count towards your earnings. The rate or fee is set per voice after we listen to your recording.

How to apply

  1. Create a free Klassifier account, or sign in if you already have one. Create an account
  2. Open the Voice Actor page in the app menu: app.klassifier.com/voice-actor
  3. Fill in your profile (display name, country, a few words about your voice work) and how you want to be paid: bank transfer (IBAN) or PayPal. Read and accept the voice actor agreement, then send your application.
  4. We review your application, usually within a few working days. You see the result on the same page.
  5. Once approved, go to My voices → Add a voice. Record in your browser or upload a file, choose the language and type exactly what you said. You can add several voices, for example in different languages or styles.
  6. We listen to each voice and publish it with its deal. From then on it appears for every user, and your Earnings tab shows its uses, characters and earnings.

Recording your voice

  • Record 10 to 30 seconds of natural, continuous speech in the voice and style you want to offer.
  • Use a quiet room without echo, music or background noise, and keep a steady distance from the microphone.
  • Type the transcript exactly as you spoke it; the voice is created from the recording and its text together.
  • Record one voice per sample. A different language or character voice is a separate voice.
  • Only submit your own voice. Recordings of other people are rejected.

Payments

  • Your dashboard shows your balance to be paid, total earned, total paid and every payout.
  • We send payouts to the bank account (IBAN) or PayPal address in your profile; each payout lists its transfer reference.
  • You can update your payout details at any time from your profile.
  • You are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on your earnings in your country.

Questions

Who can apply?

Anyone with a clear speaking voice who has the right to license it — professional voice actors, narrators, presenters and talented beginners alike.

What do I allow Klassifier to do with my voice?

While your voice is published, we may create a synthetic version of it and offer it to our users for speech, dubbing and translation. The details are in the voice actor agreement you accept when applying.

Can I stop offering my voice?

Yes. Ask us at any time and we stop offering it; everything it earned until then is still paid to you.

How is my rate decided?

After we listen to your recording we set a deal for that voice — a rate per 1,000 characters or a one-time fee — and show it on your Voice Actor page.

When do I get paid?

Earnings collect in your balance and are paid out to your bank account or PayPal. Every payout and its reference appear in your dashboard.

Do I need a company?

No. You can join as an individual; just add your tax or ID number so payouts can be documented.
